[The Planet Waves Humidifier] It is small, compact, lightweight, and does a very good job of keeping guitars sounding and looking like they should. Not my favorite, because it doesn't have a soundhole cover, but it gets the job done.

Using a Planet Waves Humidifier is quite simple.

  1. Use it whenever the humidity reaches below 50%.
  2. Wet it so the inside sponge is very moist.
  3. Dry off the excess water on the outside. If you do not dry off the excess water, then the water can mess with the glue in the bracing inside of your guitar.
  4. Place your humidifier between the D and G strings (the middle strings) on your acoustic guitar. It should stretch across all the strings.
  5. Place your acoustic guitar inside its case and close it.
  6. Repeat whenever the humidity reaches below 50%, or when the humidifier gets dry.

All humidifiers are very easy to use.

They are a small investment to protect your instrument.
