The Oasis Humidifier

[The Oasis] This is an extremely effective humidifier. Not only does it release moisture, it also uses Humigel crystals to retain excess water so that it doesn't drip in your acoustic guitar. It also shrivels up as an indicator to when it is dry. Out of all the humidifiers mentioned on this site, the Oasis is certainly the most engineered to benefit an acoustic guitar.

The downside to the wonderful humidifier is that after a while, you have to replace the crystals. Each crystal bag gets you about 6-8 refills. Also, this humidifier only works with distilled water. And did I mention you should inject the distilled water with a syringe that you must buy separately? I am not in any way insulting the credibility of this wonderful product, I am simply pointing out that it is high maintenance compared to other humidifiers that work just as well for a lower price.

But like I said, everyone has a preference, and every guitar is different.

Using an Oasis Humidifier is a bit more complicated

1. Use whenever the humidity drops below 50%.
2. Unscrew the cap and place the stabilizing bar on top of the humidifier. 
3. Fill with one syringe of distilled water (the first time you use it, put in three syringe's worth of distilled water).
4. Wait 10 minutes, then look into the humidifier. It should look like clear small curd cottage cheese. If you only see water, then replace the crystals.
5. Screw the cap back on.
6. Place the humidifier between the D and G strings (the middle strings) so that the stabilizing bar stretches across all the strings on your acoustic guitar.
7. Place your acoustic guitar inside your case and close it.
8. Repeat whenever the humidity reaches below 50%, or when the humidifier gets dry.

All humidifiers are very easy to use, this one is just relatively harder than others.

They are a small investment to protect your instrument.
